CM&Co was given an initial value target by the owner, based on an unsolicited bid received from a prospective purchaser. This prospective purchaser was the ideal buyer, but the valuation did not meet the owner’s expectations.

Process Driven Valuation Creation

CM&Co conducted a small but highly competitive sell-side process, pushing the pre-identified buyer’s valuation up by nearly 20%, landing the multiple above the high end of comparable transaction multiples range.

The resulting increase in value was greater than 10x CM&Co’s fee. Note: For clients where measurable, we have seen a value increase return on our fees of 3x to 10x+.
