PROFILE

William “Bill” Caster is a Director at Carleton McKenna and brings over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry, working with high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners.  He has broad experience in the areas of financial / estate planning, investment management, philanthropic planning, and business succession planning.  With Carleton McKenna, Bill is primarily responsible for connecting the firm to business owners seeking succession advice as well as other professional partners and advisors across the region. 

Bill is also an independent Investment Advisor Representative with Gries Financial Partners, a $1.5 billion wealth manager headquartered in Cleveland where he was previously President, responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the firm.  Prior to Gries he held significant leadership roles in the wealth management divisions of Key Bank, BNY Mellon, PNC and Fifth Third Bank. 

Bill is active in the community where he serves on the Board of Directors of Cleveland Leadership Center where he is currently the Board Chair, Vocational Guidance Services (prior Board Chair) and Great Lakes Theater (former Board Chair).  He is also Trustee Emeritus of Positive Education Program where he was a former Board Chair.  He has a BA from Wittenberg University and an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.  He holds his FINRA Series 65 license.
